Far Hills Residence
Far Hills, New Jersey
Located on a large wooded estate, this 1950′s home was reduced to its wood and masonry structure and completely rebuilt. Every aspect of the building was re-designed. The landscape employs an extensive use of stone to form walkways and a uniquely stepped terrace and pool. This stonework makes its way into the house, blurring the distinction between interior and exterior. Teak was used in the fabrication of custom designed windows, doors, radiator panels, and millwork. Other features include a kitchen and den composed of sliding and rotating panels and a secret door/bookcase. Everything from the appointment of the interior furnishings to the mechanical and security systems were overseen. This project was completed in co-ordination with Innerspace.
