Summary
Working within an extremely narrow site in the NoHo neighborhood of New York City, the aim of this project was to create a bright and attractive retail space for a downtown jewelry store. A finely crafted wall, composed of an array of illuminated glass vitrines, displays merchandise and creates a permeable screen between the main space and adjacent stair. Upstairs, a floating room houses individual spa rooms, while private offices and storage areas are contained in the basement. The palette of materials is kept to a minimum, with glass, mirrors and bleached wood flooring reflecting natural light deep into the narrow space. Working with Innerspace, the entire store, including the exterior façade was demolished, redesigned, and rebuilt.
