Summary
Working with our client, CPA created a master plan for a parcel of land previously used as a lumber mill and re-conceived as a herbal-themed resort and farm. The resort allows for various experiences that immerse visitors in herbs such as lavender, sage, mint, and others in an isolated and healing way. Our scope included the master plan, the design of individual structures, and associated preliminary budgeting. The project concept carefully examined and emphasized the special consideration of the preservation of specific mature trees, ponds, streams, and riparian areas. The proposed building designs focus on modern interpretations of traditional agricultural buildings employing minimalist techniques and natural materials. Our work encompassed the coordination of site servicing, traffic impact study, bio-inventory, forest resource inventory assessment, sustainability, and archaeological reporting.
